Though we’re not likely to ever see the face of our God in this life, his image can be found in our neighbor, the God we CAN see. We may have to dig a little sometimes to turn up that “God part” of a friend, neighbor or co-worker, but with a little loving effort it’s all doable and our discovery of it can be a joyous experience.
When we think of the many saints we’ve read and heard about, or great people we know of today who devote their hearts, minds and souls to the service of others. they’re devoting themselves to our same almighty and invisible God. It’s just by a more visible and direct path.
And we can do the same by shifting more of our attention to the needs of our friends and neighbors. During the Covid-19 pandemic, there may seem to be fewer opportunities to “get out among ‘em” and be of any kind of service, but with today’s technology, a warm and uplifting email, text or social media message gives us the opportunity to “telecommute from home” the same way so many corporate employees are performing their tasks right now.
Take advantage of today's communication technology. Use it to connect with some of your long-lost friends and you just might start getting reply messages from our "God in the Cloud."
