Imagine the possible outcomes for your church if everyone became more engaged in the readings at your worship services; not only as listeners of the word, but as doers of the word.

Francis Chan, the great nondenominational preacher once said in one of his sermons, "I believe Satan is thrilled with a lot of our church services. James ( 1:22 ) says when you hear the word and don't do it, you're deceiving yourself, and Satan is saying 'Look at these guys. They gather on Sunday, they hear a message they're not going to apply, they're deceiving themselves and my job is done.'" 

It's Satan's dream. They listen to the word, get inspired, then go home and do nothing about it. Is this what we want for our church community? 

The word of God is meant to honor, to embrace, and to apply.

May we always be encourage to practice all three.
